Academics and Industrialists have a different mindset; as they both live in two different worlds. Deepening of Industry-Academic-Interaction is vital for the future of our student community and widening their scope and possibilities to be a part of Industries. Colleges and Universities must prepare their students for the workplace, not just graduation. Industry experience should be tilled back into the education system continuously for improving the curriculum and vice-versa, to build future leaders of the nation. There is an ever-increasing focus on making the academic and industry interface more effective. Though academic and industrial entities hold different values and are motivated by different incentives, one key to overcome the many obstacles to a successful interaction is to better understand the two worlds and work on reconcilable factors.

Trident Group of Institutions organizes Odisha Biotech conclave every year since 2006. This year's theme revolves around "Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Startup Ecosystem," aiming to bring together Government officials, MNCs, Academicians, Start-ups, Researchers, and Students from across Odisha. We are planning to hold “Odisha Biotech Conclave-2024” on 6th April in the college premises with an objective of Industry – Academia Connect which will be attended by representative members all leading Bio-startups of Odisha & teaching fraternity of all leading colleges of the state in the Departments of Life-sciences (Botany / Zoology / Microbiology / Biotechnology etc.). Bridging the gap between industry and Academia, the conclave will facilitate meaningful interactions, knowledge exchange, and technology transfer.
